Crafting for Halloween...my Witch's Library

This year I am decorating with all my favorite Halloween decor but with a focus on my love for Witches.  Here is a small part of my library that I made using brown grocery bags for bookcovers...so easy and so much fun.  Endless ideas for titles and cover designs.

Ghoultide Gathering!

A great way to begin the month of October...a trip to see a bunch of fabulous Halloween artists selling their spooktacular creations at Ghoultide Gathering.  Great time with my good friend Heather!  A day full of lots of fun and inspiration.  I wish I could have photographed all the wonderful art.  These sculptures were outside for all to enjoy.

Fall Woods Walk

Yesterday started off rainy, windy, and bit too cool for a girl with the sniffles...but then the sun broke through and it was time to get out of bed and take the dog for a walk, my Fall Woods Walk, which will be one of many I hope to fit in.  I don't dare leave without my camera.  I take many pictures that will never serve a pupose but I love to look through them after my walk.  So many of the things I try to capture will never look as beautiful in the digital image as they did in the moment out in nature, but am still left with something to enjoy.  The colorful leaves, acorns, mossy trees, and mushrooms...just love it all!

Fall Bucket List...

Fall is here!  My favorite season and it passes by so quickly.  It is difficult to get everything in and get the most of each and every day, especially the weekends!  So much to do, so little time.
Everyone should have a bucket list!  I started one at an airport when traveling home from vacation.  There were three teenage girls sitting in the terminal across from me and one had a notebook in hand while they shared fabulous ideas of things they wanted to do and places they wanted to see.  I was facinated and wished I had such an experience with my friends so many years ago.  It would have been fun to reflect back and see what we have accomplished.  Oh well...too late for the young and ambitious ready to take over the world approach.  My list began about two years ago and expands on things I have done, explores the possibility of new adventures and experiences.  Some simple and just take a little time and effort, while some are complex, cost money, and won't be happening anytime soon.  I love having stuff to look forward to and taking time to dream.

So here is my Fall Bucket List!

Inspired to Blog!

I attended a book signing today with great friend, Heather Trudeau (peacockfairy.blogspot.com) where Heather Power's (humblebeads.blogspot.com) was celebrating her book release Jewelry Designs from Nature.  She shared the basics of blogging along with her passion for bead making and jewelry design.  Great book by the way!  Doing something you love and getting published is so amazing.

So here I am!  Inspired and ready to organize my crafty chaos through blogging...maybe?  A girl can dream!
